Do I have to stay at the Green Valley Ranch Resort?
No. However, if you do not stay on site at the Green Valley Ranch Resort a $75 classroom fee will be assessed on your registration. Your booking at the hotel helps us to offset the cost of the classroom rental fee. If you don’t stay onsite we charge the $75 to help with the rental fee.

How do I get my Classroom Fee refunded?
It is possible during your Registration you intended to stay elsewhere but have changed your mind and booked into Green Valley Ranch Resort so you would like your Classroom Fee refunded. Firstly, your booking needs to be made through this website or directly with the hotel using code GCIICNG, any other method will not have you in the group space. If your booking is in the group space, it will appear in a list that the hotel will provide us for our onsite registration. If you have not booked into our group space and are not on the list, you will be required to pay the Classroom fee before you can complete your registration or attend classes. If you have paid the Classroom fee and have since booked into our group space, a refund will be due to you. We will only be issuing Classroom Fee refunds during CakeCamp or directly after and not before. Please also view our Cancellation/Refund policy.

Will there be a shuttle available?
If you are a guest at the Green Valley Ranch Resort, a complimentary shuttle to the Strip or airport will be available. Seating is limited and available on a first come. first serve basis. Click here for Schedule. Participants are responsible for their travel to/from Cake Camp.

What time can I check-in for Cake Camp?
For Cake Camp registration, you can check-in anytime after noon on July 14, 2011. For the Green Valley Ranch Resort, hotel check-in is from 3:00pm.

What time is the hotel checkout on Sunday?
Checkout on Sunday is by 11 am. If you are taking classes on Sunday, you still must check out by 11:00 am.

Can I extend my stay at the Green Valley Ranch Resort?
Absolutely! The Green Valley Ranch Resort have offered additional days before and after Cake Camp for those wanting to include a vacation beyond Cake Camp. This is a great opportunity to bring your spouse and family to Cake Camp.

Can I come for just one class?
Yes, you may come for one class. However, you must pay the full Registration Fee.

What is your Cancellation/Refund policy?
A full refund, less a Processing Fee of $25.00 will be granted with written notification of cancellation to be received no later than June 10th, 2011.
There will be NO REFUNDS for cancellations received after this date. All refunds will be processed directly following the Cake Camp weekend. Class cancellations by Instructors due to lack of enrollment will be refunded completely.

Do I need to be a California Cake Club member to attend Cake Camp?
Yes. If you are not a CCC member, you will be able to join during the Registration process.

How much experience do I need to attend?
The class listings will detail the recommended skill level such as Beginner, Intermediate or Experienced. You will need basic decorating proficiencies to attend an Intermediate class.

Can I just sit in on or audit a class?
No. Space is limited in each classroom and there is no space available for non paying participants.

What should I bring?
You will want to bring your camera, film, pen and paper to take notes and pictures of all you will see and learn. Don't forget to read the instructor's list of supplies for each of your classes. Most items required will be available for purchase in the Vendor Room.

What do I wear?
Dress for comfort. Comfortable shoes and clothes. Henderson in July is sure to be warm; however, we will be indoors at the hotel and convention center (and casino) with no need to go outside for three days. Dress as you are comfortable. It is always a good idea to have a sweater or light jacket as it can get cold in some of the inside areas.

What is the Cake Gallery?
There will be a special area set up for edible art displays. Anyone attending can bring something they have made to share their idea with other attendees. If it is a special technique you wish to share, please write up a brief explanation.

Some Instructors may also have a sample of their classes on display in the Registration Room for all to see. The Vendor Area and Cake Gallery is open to anyone.

What are the Raffles that I've heard of?
Since the California Cake Club is a Non-Profit organization, we hold raffles at all of our meetings to help defray some of our expenses. These monies allow us to maintain quarterly and yearly scholarships to the members. We will sell tickets for the raffle that will take place during the Friday evening festivities. We ask each attendee to bring something for this drawing. It can be anything you wish to donate, preferably something new and culinary in nature. You can bring it wrapped or unwrapped.

Can I bring My Family?
Absolutely! While you are in class having fun and learning from experts, your family can be enjoying everything that Las Vegas has to offer, and they can join us for our Friday night Banquet if you purchase additional tickets. Please note that only registered particiants will be allowed in the class sessions.

Are Cellphones permitted in class?
Do not bring cell phones into any class unless set to silent and calls are not taken. Instructors and Committee Members are authorized to ask any violators to leave the class and not return. This is out of courtesy to the Instructor and your fellow students.

Can I sell something at Cake Camp?
Yes, you can purchase a Sales Table (up to 3) in the Vendor Room . Please note: It is your responsibility to have someone at your table when the room is open to secure your items. You may sign up for sales tables on your registration form.
