I will show students how to layer colors to achieve stunningly realistic flowers and leaves. I will have petals and leaves pre-made for each student. They will dust the provided leaves and petals and will then assemble one or two flower sprays that they have dusted. They will learn to use steam and edible glaze to complete the look for the flowers and leaves. This class will be especially helpful for students who compete in cake shows or who aspire to botanical realism. It will teach them how to use a bride’s colors to design flower shades that compliment her color scheme. I will provide dusts for use in class. Students may purchase the Ruth Rickey Beginner Set from ECG if desired. I will also have some in class available for sale to those who wish to purchase them.
